The EBP has secured investment from The Careers & Enterprise Company to support young people in Lincolnshire.
The investment will help The EBP expand its employer mentoring programme to work with looked after children in years 8-10, who are at risk of disengaging and dropping out of school.
Teens from across Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northampton and Rutland have raised a staggering £114,000 for good causes after dedicating more than 113,900 hours to helping their local community as part of the National Citizen Service (NCS) programme.
24 businesses from across Lincolnshire were recognised for their dedication in supporting work experience and employability opportunities for young people at The EBP’s annual Investors in Education Awards, held at the Lincolnshire Showground on 8 November.
On 29 October a group of caring youngsters received a special visit from Loughborough MP Nicky Morgan when they gave up their Saturday to give back to the community.
Six teenagers from Loughborough volunteered at Fearon Hall organising a bake sale and raising more than £100 for the centre as part of the National Citizen Service (NCS) programme – a flagship youth empowerment programme for 16 to 17-year-olds across Leicestershire.
