ENGAGEMENT OFFICER

Full time

Salary £18,000 - £20,000 OTE £21,000 - £23,000
Based at The EBP's Northampton office

We are seeking an exceptional individual to be part of our successful Northampton Sales Team. As the Engagement Officer you will be expected to deliver presentations and attend recruitment events designed to encourage young people to express an interest and sign up to the National Citizen Service (NCS) Programme.

NCS is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for 16 and 17 year olds, helping young people build skills for work and life, whilst taking on new challenges and meeting new friends.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a hunger for success who have a real passion for exceeding targets and inspiring young people. A driving licence and use of a car for business is essential for this role.

NATIONAL CITIZEN SERVICE (NCS) MENTOR & LEADERSHIP ROLES

National Citizen Service (NCS) is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for 15-17 year olds, helping young people build skills for work and life, whilst taking on new challenges and meeting new friends.

We are recruiting for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join us for our summer 2019 NCS programme, to work with young people taking part in Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire.

All posts are subject to an enhanced DBS check and references. We have various roles starting in summer 2019 in Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire. Please note that some weekend work may be involved.

Roles available:

NCS Mentor

Temporary contract - £8.27 - £8.77 per hour*

Are you looking for a challenge that utilises your key skills of leading a team of young people during their participation in a life-changing experience?

As a NCS Mentor you will attend a 2x 5 day residential event plus 60 following hours (9am-5pm) facilitating the successful delivery of localised Social Action Projects. Fundamentally, you will be responsible for understanding the individual requirements of the young people you are mentoring, utilising the information provided by parents and schools.

The ideal candidate will have experience of volunteering and working with young people.

NCS Lead Mentor

Temporary contract – £10.48 per hour*

Are you an enthusiastic individual with proven leadership skills? Are you looking for a challenge where you will participate in a life-changing experience working directly with young people?

As the NCS Lead Mentor you will be responsible for:

  • Providing support and leadership to NCS staff, acting as their first point of contact
  • To feed back to the NCS Cohort Lead on a regular basis, reporting incidents and issues immediately
  • Ensuring the safeguarding and Health & Safety of Young People is paramount and reporting any issues when appropriate

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience of working with young people and have the ability to problem solve, remaining calm and composed in challenging situations.

A full UK driving licence and access to your own car is essential for this role.

NCS Cohort Lead

Temporary contract - £11.05 per hour*

Are you an inspirational leader? Are you looking for a challenge over the summer where you will participate in a life-changing experience working directly with young people?

As the NCS Cohort Lead you will be responsible for:

  • The successful delivery of NCS, ensuring all tasks are carried out on time and to the highest standard
  • Leading, motivating and managing the performance of NCS staff
  • Ensuring the safeguarding and Health & Safety of young people is paramount and reporting any issues when appropriate

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience of organising and facilitating a project or event and have the ability to problem solve, remaining calm and composed in challenging situations.

A full UK driving licence and access to your own car is essential for this role.
